Gansu-QinghaiThis is actually compromised of 5 images. When I think back to Gansu and Qinghai, I'm reminded of the myriad of (1) sheep we saw alongside every road, so I was sure to include an image of sheep in this multiple exposure. On this particular trip, my friend Adam jump roping at different sites became a theme, even (2) jumping on the Westernmost ("the start") section of the Great Wall. I combined these images with the (3) beautiful mountains at Zhangye. A "once every 20 year sandstorm" caused a thick dust-filled haze to linger in every city and site throughout the latter half of our journey - even washing over the vibrant colors the mountains usually held. (4) The sky in the image is from the roadside while passing through a large plot of windmills during our drive. Finally, the temples in Gansu/Qinghai are some of the oldest in Chinese History, and this particular (5) scripture detailing the morals and ideals of individuals stood out to me.
